Along with the great enthusiasm and love for yoga we see growing all over the world, we are also seeing statistics that report an increase in yoga related hip injuries.
In this class Barbra will explain the basics of hip anatomy in a way that is accessible and easy to understand.
She will teach you alignment principles that make hip-openers and other stretches safe. You will learn which common yoga adjustments often cause injury, and be guided to practise adjustments that are safe and therapeutic.
Barbra will lead two alignment focused sessions Sunday 18 February. The first class, Bamboo Backbends, focuses on pain free backbends and the second class Healthy Hips will have a therapeutic approach to hip-openers.
